This past weekend I spent four days with some of my favorite women friends at my sister’s beautiful beach house in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. It was a wonderful! We spent many hours laughing, eating and solving most of the world’s problems (!) but I also spent time making lots of tree skirt quilt tops. Friday night I was walking too close to a coffee table and hit the side of my leg against a glass of cabernet. Wine flew everywhere but mostly into the bag where I had placed two of my beautifully just stitched and ironed quilt tops. (I screamed just a little.) Thankfully, cold water and a Tide pod completely removed the wine stain. Completely. While I do not recommend washing and drying a quilt top prior to quilting, it can be done!
Two weeks from now will find me standing at a long arm quilting these beauties.
